February 24:

Basketball is a historic part of a Lutheran school, especially in the mid west. It is along season, there can be many teams for a large Lutheran school. There is always a lot of emotion around the games. There is great learning that takes place. What is that learning? The goal is to make it about team work, sportsmanship, confidence and relationships. Teams with winning or losing records can all learn those lessons in practices and games.

Zion’s girls’ and boys’ teams are going to the Lutheran Missouri State tournament in Jeff City this weekend. Both teams have had wonderful seasons, won more games than they have lost and improved in many different ways during the season. Zion’s cheerleaders, champions of their own competition and an excellent team in their own right, are also attending the tournament. Pray for their safe passage to and from the games, and a wonderful experience of Bobcat Nation gathering around one purpose. “All For One”
