Chapel
Students in 1st – 8th grade worship together weekly in chapel on Wednesdays.Chapel services are led by different pastors, teachers, and administrators. Chapel offerings are collected to benefit a different mission every year. Once a month baptismal birthdays are celebrated in chapel with a remembrance service and students are honored with a small gift as a reminder of their baptism.
Early Childhood Chapel
Students in preschool and kindergarten have their own chapel every week rotating days so that all students have the opportunity to attend. Early childhood chapel uses a set liturgy so that students learn what to expect in chapel and learn what it means to go to church. Teachers, administrators, and pastors serve as chapel leaders. Once a month baptismal birthdays are celebrated in chapel with a remembrance service and students are honored with a small gift as a reminder of their baptism.
Faith Families
Students in 1st – 8th grade are separated into faith families led by all the teachers. Students sit with their faith families during chapel and have special prayer events once a month. Faith families give older students the opportunity to serve younger students and younger students get to form a relationship with their chapel buddies in their faith family.
Moms in Prayer Team
The purpose of Moms in Prayer at Zion Lutheran is to intercede for our children and to pray that our school may be guided by biblical values and high moral standards. Our Moms in Prayer group is a set of caring moms that meets to pray together for school concerns and upcoming events. We pray for specifically for every teacher, staff member, and student of Zion throughout the school year. The students that are prayed for are given a sticker to wear or take home the day they are prayed for. Every child, teacher and staff member at Zion will be prayed for by the end of the academic school year, along with specific prayer requests.
We extend a warm welcome to all moms, aunts, grandmas, and caregivers to join us every Wednesday that school is in session from 8:10-9:00am in the Chapel Library for this special time of prayer and fellowship. Little ones are welcome and praying out loud is not required. The eloquence of your prayer is not what is important, the sincerity of your heart is what God hears.
Please join us as your schedule allows. No RSVP required and join us at anytime. We look forward to praying with you!
If you have any questions or have a specific prayer request, please contact michellemahoney (momsinprayer@zionharvester.org).
