Citizenship:
Today, Vilema taught the children about citizenship. This included helping others, serving the community, and civic engagement and responsibility. Our team was able to provide help to the community by painting the civic meeting area. In addition, we provided food to the community members working on paving the dirt road.
Reflection from Martha:
Today, I was priviledged to meet my Sponsored/Prayer Child at Tecpan CarePoint. The minute I walked into the classroom, I instantly knew that this little girl was MINE. Our eyes met and I can’t even express the joy I felt. I received hugs, and special kisses from Marilyn. After our time with the children, at the school, we did a home visit to her home. We met her mother and siblings. Her mother told us Marilyn came home that afternoon so excited that we were coming. We presented them with a basket of appreciation for letting us visit them. As you might notice in the family picture, Marilyn has a sister who is also in the AMBI program. She unfortunately does not have a sponsor, along with 25-30 other children. Please consider supporting one of these children, it is $45 per month and Hope Chest does an amazing job keeping the sponsors in touch with their prayer partner. Overwhelmed with joy. -Martha
