what i do
As Zion’s Senior Pastor I work with our staff and members to serve our congregation and our community in ways that we hope and pray bring glory to Jesus and show love for our neighbors.
about me
I can’t believe this is true, but I’ve been at Zion for over thirteen years! That’s been a cool thing for me, because over the last couple years I’ve had the honor of performing marriages for people I confirmed, and confirming kids I baptized.
Megan and I have two daughters and a dog, and are very blessed to have a bunch of our family members as members of our Zion Family too!

What I Do
As one of Zion’s Associate Pastor’s, I share in the preaching and teaching ministries, lead Zion’s Christian care efforts to include visitation and support ministries, and facilitate our congregational small group efforts through equipping leaders, developing studies, and facilitating group participation and growth.
About Me
I am a second career pastor, having prior served in the Active Duty Air Force for six years, and currently serving in the Reserves. Zion is the second congregation I’ve served, following a first call of six years at St. James Lutheran in Quincy, IL. I am pursuing PhD studies with an interest in Christian Ethics. I played football for the Air Force Academy and my hobbies include watching football, reading books, and stained glass.
My wife Angela and I have three children: Jacob, Kayla, and Logan. We feel very blessed to be a part of the Zion church family!
