April 7: Zion Lutheran School’s academic team has their state meet this weekend, April 7 and 8. 16 Lutheran schools from around the state will converge on Immanuel St. Charles for the competition. Six 7th and 8th grade students will represent Zion at the state meet.
Each round of the competition is comprised of 2 schools with 4 students each competing to answer questions on the topics of Science, Religion, Math, English and Grammar. The first contestant to buzz in has a chance to answer the question as it is read to them. If that contestant does not answer correctly, the other team may answer the question and also have a chance at a bonus question. 4 rounds of questions complete a game. The team has had a great season finishing in 2ndplace at the City Tournament.
Blessings to Miss Buerges and the Zion team as they move on to the state tournament.
