Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Cancer Companions is a care ministry for anyone affected by cancer. We offer hope and support to those recently diagnosed, undergoing treatment, post-treatment, caregivers and families of a cancer patient.  Through scripture-based guided study, we explore how God draws us near to him through the cancer journey.

Periodically throughout the year we offer group sessions. The next series of group sessions is planned to begin Sunday, March 24 at 9:15 am in the Chapel (main level).  Until then, one-to-one care ministry can be arranged anytime by contacting Linda Wirkus in the church office at lwirkus@zionharvester.org.

This ministry is supported by the national Cancer Companions organization founded by Karen Tripp.   Local cancer resource guides are available through the Christian Cancer Companions web site (cancer-companions.org) or our ministry team:  June Cordes, Janet Fischer, Jana Gessert, Gloria Murray, Tracy Oswald and Julie Stanglein.  Our prayer is that you will experience the peace of our Lord through this ministry.
