about me

I am the minority in my house with four lovely ladies.  It is a great blessing to be a husband to Julie and a dad to Berkley, Charlotte and Hazel.  Be advised, there will be two pastors at “Guys Night Out”.

what i do

I am the primary organist and direct two handbell groups, five choirs, and three instrumental ensembles. In addition, I assist the pastoral staff by planning worship services, preparing the weekly worship bulletins, and overseeing all worship ministry teams.

about me

My family loves being at Zion. We are blessed with great pastors who excel in Word and Sacrament ministry. All three of our children have benefited from a top-notch Christian education in the school.

about me

My wife Annette and our cat Oliver have been blessed with our time and home here at Zion. As for myself, I am a huge comic book fan and have a great passion for recording and making music. I love my job and it is always a blessing to work with youth that keep me young heart.

Born in Texas, raised in Missouri, started a family in Illinois and have returned to Missouri since 1996.
I married my husband Mark in 1991 and we have three children born in 1992, 1995 and 1998. We also have a new son through the marriage of our oldest daughter. I enjoy music (teaching, performing and listening) and reading as many books as I can each week.

I am responsible for the Children’s Ministry at Zion. Primarily, I work with Sunday School, VBS, and Milestone Ministry, as well as supporting the awesome leaders involved with Little Lambs, the Children’s Program for Women’s Bible Study, and the Nursery. It is a joy to serve the Lord and His children at Zion.

about me

Born and raised in Iowa, I love spending time with my family and friends. I graduated from Concordia University-Nebraska in 2012 and have been blessed with many opportunities to be involved in congregational and camp ministry before coming to Zion. In my free time I enjoy hiking/camping, spending time in my hammock, traveling, and working on sewing or painting projects.

I am responsible for all areas of financial concern from accounts payable and receivable through financial statement preparation and presentation.  I strive to have a mind for the business side of Zion while always holding my heart for our ministry as the primary focus.

about me

I have been married to my best friend, Joe for over 24 years.  We have 4 children that keep us quite busy while we support them in the pursuit of their passions.  Graham is a student at DePauw University, Samantha and Josh are Students at Lutheran High, and  Anna is our one child remaining  at Zion.  I feel truly blessed with my family and the church family that surrounds all of us.

what i do

I am responsible for the goal setting and monitoring process at Zion as well as the human resources and assessment services.  I supervise the facilities and maintenance functions and support ministry teams in several areas.

about me

Zion has been our church home since 1988.  My wife, Cherie, and I have raised our three daughters here and we now enjoy their families who all live near us.  We have eleven wonderful grandchildren who bring us much joy.

Maintain the audio/video aspects of our worship services with the help from a talented staff of volunteers. Coordinate the technology needs of the church and school. And generally help where it is needed.

what i do

If you call Zion’s Church Office it will probably be my voice you will hear.  If your prayer requests are listed correctly in the prayers – that would be me (if they are messed up, I ‘m sure I was out sick that week). If you have a child in Confirmation you will get all kinds of emails from me.  If you want to set up a baptism – I’m your man (so to speak).   I work on Sundays to make sure that everything is in place for the Worship Service: bulletins, attendance cards, Pastors.  But most importantly my job here is  to serve you.

about me

I recently lost my husband of 38 years so I am embarking on a whole new journey.  God is faithful  and I learn that lesson every single day.  I have four grown children and 8 grandchildren.
