On Sunday evening, March 19, Zion will host a Christian brother from Alaska. Rick McCafferty is an Inupiaq Eskimo who has dedicated his life to “take to villages a counseling, discipleship, and leadership program that can be managed and grown in its own people, in order to share the Gospel and all of the hope and peace that comes with it.” Rick, whose work is a part of Lutheran Indian Ministries, understands personally the wounds of the heart that affect Alaskan natives including domestic violence, sexual abuse and suicide. He has titled his program “Beauty for Ashes.”
Please consider spending some time with Rick on March 19. You may choose to participate in the whole evening or come for the portion that best meets your needs.
Simply RSVP to Debbie Wills (Debbie@team-aim.org) if you’d like to join us for dinner. Sponsored by our SWAMP-IN ministry at Zion, we would be pleased to have you join us and hear about Rick’s ministry.
